Qualified Teacher -Tuition Classes - Henlow Central Bedfordshire - Part Time

We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic male or female QT to lead our unique new tuition classes at Henlow Lakes, launching in September 2019.

Hours: Every Saturday between the hours of 8am -12noon.

Tasks:  You will carry out induction meetings with parent and child and then develop unique 12-week programmes for children aged 5 – 12 years in need of extra support to further their Maths and English. Sessions will run for 1 hour 30 minutes. Half of the session will be practical, outdoor-based physical activities and the second half in the classroom.

You will work with a team of A level and university students to support you each session. At the end of each term, the children will attend a  presentation to celebrate their achievements and move up to the next level.

Who should apply: Qualified Primary Teacher, with a passion to help children extend their learning through outdoor and practical play opportunities.

All successful applicants will undergo an Enhanced DBS check and we will obtain two satisfactory professional references.

Support workers - Tuition Classes - Henlow Central Bedfordshire - Part Time

We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic male or female A level or university students with a GCSE in Math/ English of a 6 or above to support our unique new tuition classes at Henlow Lakes, launching in September 2019.

Hours: Every Saturday between the hours of 8am -12noon.

Tasks:  You will to deliver unique 12-week programmes for children aged 5 – 12 years in need of extra support to further their Maths and English. Sessions will run for 1 hour 30 minutes. Half of the session will be practical, outdoor-based physical activities and the second half in the classroom.

Toddler Room Leader - Henlow Central Bedfordshire - Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced toddler leader to be part of a child-led framework with elements of Forest schooling.

We have a small setting which works in very close partnership with our families and as a team to ensure we are meeting the child’s needs as paramount.

We have a large focus on outdoor play experiences as well and natural materials and sensory environments.

We use an electronic hub for recording our data which has been designed by our team to make life a little less paperwork based and more hands-on with the children.

Being part of our team will open up opportunities for working on other projects such as over 5’s holiday clubs and community events if you desire these experiences.

We are based in the beautiful grounds of Henlow Lakes which is a reward in itself each and every day, as we are able to access, parks, lakes and our own petting farm.

Forest School Leader - Henlow Central Bedfordshire - Part Time/Full Time

We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Forest School Leader to join our team.

 

We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable about the EYFS and has a passion to support children’s development in their own forest setting.

 

We need a strong team player and someone that can work to their own initiative confidently.

 

This position can be made to a full-time position if the applicant is willing to work on developing a project to sell out t the community and possibly do some work with children 5-12 years.

Activity Club Playworkers- Henlow, Central Bedfordshire - Part Time - Holidays Only

We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic males and females to join our unique new activity team at Henlow Lakes Camping Site for 2019.

Our new team will consist of three Playworkers delivering open access activity sessions every Bank holiday Saturday and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturdays during the summer break 2019.

Hours: We are hoping for a full and consistent team, however, this position is also open on a flexible contract if you have holidays booked or are unable to work some of the days.

Core hours are 9.30am – 2.45pm per day. One evening session 5pm-10pm on Thursday 5th July. More hours available if required on other projects

Tasks: To set up planned activities such as arts and crafts, woodwork, den building, inflatables and sports. To supervise and facilities play opportunities for children aged 5 – 16 years who are on their camping holidays. To ensure the children have a good time.

Open Access: This means the children can drop in and out of the 1 hour and 45 minute sessions we are offering for them twice a day.

x3 After school Club Playworkers - Stevenage

We have 3 exciting positions that have come up to support our play delivery in Stevenage after school club based in Ashtree School for children aged 3- 11 years.

Hours are between 14:30 -18:30 daily, Monday to Friday.

Ideally, we are seeking experienced childcare or playwork, but this is not essential. If you have a passion to work with children and provide them with high-quality play experiences please do apply.

 

This position is term time only in line with Ashtree’s opening dates. Holiday work is also available if required.

We require full-time Practitioners for our toddler room at our Day Nursery & Forest School, committed to providing high-quality childcare and early years learning for children aged 0 – 5years. Applicants should have a passion for outdoor learning and ideally, have experience as a practitioner. 

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a newly built setting with a new enthusiastic team. Training will be provided as well as career growth within the organisation. Our environment strongly focuses on child lead learning, outdoor and messy play, as well as being innovative in technology for both practitioners and children.

Qualities required:

  • Enthusiasm and commitment
  • Effective communication and motivation skills
  • A real desire and capability to achieve the highest standards in childcare
  • Your childcare qualification (Level 2/3 in Early Years Childcare and Education or equivalent) ideally supported by at least one-year post qualifying experience of working with children (Qualifications and experience should apply to the job)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • A good understanding of the Children Act 2004 and Childcare Act 2006
  • Able to work alongside the team in the day-to-day routine of the nursery and forest school.
