Level 3/+  in Early Years Educator or equivalent is essential.

Our vacancy to join our unique team is for 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Once we have a strong team in place we will look to reduce this to 4/4.5 days per week where possible in 2022.

You will be leading a vibrant room with open access to our baby garden and private Forest School, with the option to take trips freely around the grounds of Henlow Lakes. The room consists of up to 9 0-2 year olds daily. You will have a practitioner and an assistant practitioner to support you in your delivery, as well as a playworker for busier days.

We are a heavily outdoor focused setting all year round, and our babies are able to benefit from forest school sessions in the week, therefore good knowledge of forest schooling and how it benefits this age is essential.

We use the In the moment planning model to help ensure we minimise admin time for our practitioners and focus more on the care and interaction with our children and their families. Good knowledge of this model and the EYFS is essential.

Our tracking and observations, including our daily diaries, are all on an easy to use online hub, so being IT literate is essential.

Your role is to ensure your room meets and excels in the areas of the Statutory Framework. You must have good time management skills, be able to delegate tasks and support your teams development, whilst ensuring the children in your care are developing well and have the best opportunities accessible to them at all times. Good communication skills are essential for team work and relationship building with our families. Honesty and a passion to ensure children receive the very best start in life is essential.

We are a small team and work very closely together. You will regularly meet with your management team as well as your fellow room leaders to ensure you have a strong support network, are achieving the same goals and sharing a drive for success.

We have a social network where we organise social events every months which you can choose to attend if you desire, as well as a lottery syndicate you can choose to be part of.

Our management team support and promote training opportunities for all the team and heavily invest in this.
