PARENT PARTNERSHIP

  • In alignment with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child 1989, we honour the rights and responsibilities of parents and carers in guiding their child's growth (Article 5). Additionally, we recognise that some parents may require support and assistance in fulfilling these responsibilities (Article 18).
  • We celebrate the pivotal role parents play in a child's early development. Research and early years experts emphasise that this phase is profoundly influential in shaping a child's future. Active involvement from both mothers and fathers, starting from birth, establishes a direct positive correlation with a child's future. This engagement significantly impacts their economic well-being, health, educational achievements, and adult relationships. We recognise and value the crucial role parents have in this journey, and we're here to foster a collaborative and supportive partnership to nurture your child's growth and potential.
  • Collaborating closely with parents is at the heart of our approach. We believe that by fostering a genuine partnership with you, we can significantly influence your child's outcomes during their time with us and beyond. This collaboration extends beyond their stay in our setting, leaving a lasting impact on their growth and development.
  • We ensure quality handovers daily, providing comprehensive updates on your child's day via our online hub and face to face handover. With 24-hour access to our text messaging service via your family hub, staying connected is effortless. Our open-door policy extends to management, welcoming your thoughts, questions, and feedback at any time. Additionally, we host parent days each term dedicated to discussing your child's development. Our open days are filled with engaging events, from workshops to specialised training, inviting parents to actively participate in our vibrant community. Your involvement is key, and we strive to create meaningful opportunities for you to engage and contribute to your child's growth and experiences.
  • We understand that the transition of leaving your child to return to work can be challenging. Our goal is to support your family during this important time by making the process as seamless and stress-free as possible.

Things your child will need

  • Fees are paid & Funding code is up to date
  • Weather checked and play clothes (not best clothes) appropriate for the weather (Layers)
  • A labelled jacket, hat gloves wellies
  • Labelled sun hat & sun cream
  • Labelled change of clothes
  • Labelled indoor shoes (slippers)/ socks with grips
  • Medication is in date and labelled & a medical form completed in your family hub
  • Collectors added to your child’s account
  • Updates on your child submitted via our hub for their keyworker
  • Vehicle registration plates added to your hub. Any last minuet changes phoned through to the nursery in good time.
  • Signed up to the newsletter and Facebook page
  • Have started to allow child to self settle at sleep times
  • Any photos from home you would like to share with us for your child to reference to

Things your child won't need

  • Toys
  • Food
  • Nappies. Preschool children will require nappies from home.
  • Milk. Unless your child has a specific prescribed milk or not the usual off the shelf milk.
